Resident Care Manager

Full Time Position
Location: Oklahoma

Description of Position:

Plan, organize, and coordinate person-centered, activity-focused life enrichment programming to meet the needs and interests of residents.

Involve caregivers in person-centered care and life enrichment programs.

Encourage self-care, maximizing remaining capabilities, incorporating past interests and maintaining an optimum level of psycho-social functioning.

Evaluate resident’s participation in conjunction with other disciplines.

Perform activities with residents when appropriate.

Communicate with residents, other health care professionals, family members and the public.

Recruit, hire, train and discipline staff.

Provide staff training related to effective communication and care for people with dementia.

Supervise caregivers.

Coordinate Care Conferences.

Contribute to the service plans and health records of each resident.

Operate within budgetary guidelines.

Educational Requirements:

Successful completion of an RN degree from an accredited school of nursing,

Current RN license with the State of Oklahoma

CPR/First Aid Certification;

2 years experience working with people at all stages of Alzheimer’s disease in a health care setting.
