Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be part of the core team responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining and modifying the Telvent UNIX and Windows DNA SCADA systems and associated applications.
- Provide overall leadership and mentoring to the support team in their daily duties.
Coordinate support activities with software vendors.
- Must work effectively and collaborate with end-users, project teams, management and external working groups.
- Possess the ability to effectively analyze, prepare and present project information, and make sound decisions that have moderate to significant business impact.
- Must have the flexibility to perform in IT and client organizations where priorities, roles, processes, and procedures are undergoing continuous improvement.
- Be self motivated and be able to motivate others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
- Candidate must interface effectively with clients, project team, and senior management to develop solutions which facilitate the integration of business processes.
- Exercise excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver technical information across all levels of the organization.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain collaborative business relationships.
- Possess the ability to accurately analyze information and make recommendations for security controls in a control systems environment.
- Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, teamwork and facilitation skills.



Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience with real time control systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pipeline operations and procedures, computer systems hardware, network and communications configuration, personal computer applications, process control systems, applications and operation of computer support facilities required.
- Proficient with various software tools (Microsoft SQL database, Sybase, C++, Perl, Visual Basic, .Net).
- Excellent trouble-shooting, and problem solving skills
- Experience with Internet protocols (FTP, HTTP, IP, etc)
- Knowledge of with Serial RTU protocols is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work within teams
- Candidate will provide required on call duties to support a 24x.7 system.
- Experience with project management concepts.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients' business needs.
- Willingness to take ownership of product design initiative
